Roleplay example:
The forest was dark, as black is if a blanket and been thrown over it so the inhabitants could no longer see the light of the world. However, the inhabitants were animals of all shapes and sizes, whose eyes were specially adapted to the darkness. In the midst of the scurrying about by the night animals, there stood a woman. She appeared to be in her early 30s, but was in truth much older than that. How old, you may ask? I cannot tell you, for the truth may only be told by the woman herself, if she so wishes to divulge that secret. Humans such as herself normally couldn't see in the forest, but this woman could. Many believe it is her age and wisdom that allows her to see in a forest on the darkest of nights, and others argue that she is cursed to live a long life and therefore this is a side affect. However, the truth is that this woman is more than a human. She is more than one with much wisdom because of her age, and more than a poor girl cursed to a long life. Truth be told, no one was exactly sure what she was. But I can tell you, from her slender form, and long, pointed ears, that she is none other than an elf. Shocked, you may be, and may think I am lying is saying so. But if you have studied the legends as much as I, you will know I am correct. 'Course this woman, whose name is Van'ya Enaëse, proves that these are more than just legends passed down through time, but truth that seems to be woven in her long, braided hair.
Now I could forever go on with the past of this Van'ya Enaëse, but it is better if we focus on the future, for the immortal lives of elves do not allow them to look back, but only forward. Elves live forever, and so looking back on the past would only cause more trouble than good. Read up on the legend, or truth as it is now known to be, of elves, I suggest you do. To understand the story of the first elf in generations, Van'ya Enaëse, you must first understand the truth that is the Elves.
